On 29 June 2016, the Czech Dutch Chamber of Commerce (CDCC) with the support of the Embassy of the Czech Republic in the Netherlands hosted a reception on the occasion of its second anniversary.
The reception was opened by H.E. Jana Reinišová, Ambassador of the Czech Republic followed by a speech of Katerina Veliskova on Charles IV, the King of Bohemia and Holy Roman Emperor to remember his 700th birth anniversary, which is broadly celebrated this year in the Czech Republic. Veliskova pointed out his contribution to the development of the country and his legacy passed to future generations. “He was a visionary politician, diplomat, and businessman who fully embraced a role of a leader responsible for his nation, his people and his land – a true inspiration,” said Veliskova. Vladimira Chyska, Chairwoman of the CDCC then continued the official program by highlighting some recent successes of the Chamber and providing a preview into its forthcoming activities.
The reception was attended by several members of the CDCC, entrepreneurs, and leaders from the Dutch and Czech business community as well representatives of various governmental and non-governmental organizations.
“We are pleased to see the progress that the Chamber has made during the first two years of its existence and are excited about activities we plan and the support we can offer to our members in the future,” commented Chyska.
