On 2 to 5 October 2016, the Czech Dutch Chamber of Commerce organized a business mission to the Czech Republic, on the occasion of the International Engineering Fair in Brno, the largest exhibition of its kind in Central Europe. The participants had an opportunity to learn more about the market, meet their potential business partners from the Czech Republic as well as other Central European countries in one location and establish first personal contacts.
On Tuesday 4 October, the CDCC hosted the Seminar Meeting Dutch business partner for the business mission participants and interested Czech companies at the Export House of the EGAP agency and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs at the fair. The seminar was opened by Vladimira Chyska, CDCC who highlighted the importance of cooperation between the two countries and the supporting role of the CDCC for its members in developing their business. After the opening, Martin Tlapa, Deputy Minister, Ministry of Foreign Affairs gave an address on a broad range of opportunities for business cooperation between Czech and foreign companies. He was followed by Marcela Kolveková, Financial Support Programme Director, CzechInvest who talked about the support that CzechInvest can offer to foreign investors. Afterwards Brigitte Vanatova, Lawyer, FORT Advocaten shared some insights on the legal environment in the Netherlands and provides some useful tips for Czech companies. The seminar was moderated by Katerina Veliskova, CDCC.
“Very productive and well spent three days,” was the feedback from the participants of the business mission.
“This was the first business mission to the Czech Republic that our Chamber organized. We were very pleased with the positive feedback we received from the participants and trust that the meetings in Brno will be a beginning of some successful business partnerships in the future,” commented Vladimira Chyska, CDCC.
