The Czech-Dutch Chamber of Commerce (CDCC), in collaboration with our valued member Wijnkoperij van den Hoogen, invites you to a unique evening of Moravian wine tasting.
Moravia, the Czech Republic’s wine heartland, lies in the southeast of the country, bordering Austria. With a winemaking tradition that spans centuries, this region is renowned for its exceptional white wines and small, family-owned wineries that pass down their craft through generations.
During this exclusive tasting, you’ll explore a curated selection of premium wines from some of the region’s most respected producers, including Filip Mlýnek, Sonberk, Pialek & Jäger, Thaya, and Fabig. The tasting will include the following wines:
- Piálek & Jäger: Chardonnay, Kravák, and Green Veltliner
- Filip Mlýnek: André
- Fabig: Sauvignon blanc
- Sonberk: Pálava and Rhine Riesling
- Thaya: Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Green Veltliner and Rhine Riesling
- Svatá Barbora: Merlot and Pinot Noir
- Sedlecká:Silvaner and Cabernet Sauvignon
- Gala: rosé from Pinot Blanc and Pinot Noir and a blend of Pinot Noir and Merlot 2023.
Your hosts Jacques van den Hoogen and Jitske Zitman of Wijnkoperij van den Hoogen will guide you through the tasting and share the inspiring stories behind the wines and their makers.
And if a particular bottle captures your heart (and palate), you’ll have the opportunity to place an order and enjoy it again at home.
