And this is just to start with.
Located in the South Bohemia region, Cesky Krumlov is the perfect summer destination. Without the need for any form of transport, the best destinations in the city are all easily reachable by foot. If you are a beer lover, Plzeň is the place to be! Home of the famous Pilsner Urquell beer, visiting the brewery, in which the renowned beer has been brewed since 1842 is a must. Taking a guided tour throughout the brewery will take you 20 m below ground and through 9 km of the cellars of the brewery. At the end of the tour, there is, of course, an opportunity to taste Pilsner Urquell unpasteurized and non-filtered beer straight from the wooden barrel.
Besides the brewery, there are other attractions to visit in the city, such as the Great Synagogue which is the second-largest synagogue in Europe, the historical underground labyrinth and Cathedral of St. Bartholomew. Thanks to the many other great attractions in the city, it earned itself the title of European Capital of Culture for the year 2015.
